I own this album on vinyl, have it on my iphone and I have added Sunny Day Real Estate as a like on my Facebook. But to be completely honest, I have never given this album a thorough listening until tonight. The reason for this is simply that this album is extremely hard to listen to.
It is not your typical film-soundtrack material, cozy dinner background-music or a record that is satisfying to listen to. However, this does not make it a bad album. As a matter of fact, it is very good and extremely captivating if you're in the mood. There is a lot of interesting facts and stories concerning the making and background of the album but I'm not going to get into that kinda stuff, because it's irrelevant. I'm pretty good with words but terrible with thoughts so I'll just leave it at that.
